Holborn announced today that noted Canadian designers Yabu Pushelberg have been selected to design the hotel interiors for The Ritz-Carlton, Vancouver. Fresh from completing the redesigned Tiffany & Co. flagship on Fifth Avenue in New York, The Ritz-Carlton, Vancouver marks Yabu Pushelberg’s first foray into Western Canada. The duo will work alongside project architect and Canadian icon Arthur Erickson.

Lucky attendees noshed on French pains au chocolat and mimosas while checking out the brand’s affordable plush cashmere sweaters, leather handbags and cable knit booties.

Tara Parker Tait PR assisted Gap Inc.’s national public relations team with a holiday shopping night for media and VIP clientele at the brand’s Robson Street store. The ever-talented Susie Wall was the guest of honour, highlighting her FLARE picks and offering fashion tips for the season. Guests dined on Quince’s delicious fare and sipped on Sterling chardonnay while shopping the night away.

On the docket for the warmer months? 60s-inspired shifts, animal prints and feminine structured coats for cool spring evenings. Guests from FASHION, NUVO, The Vancouver Sun and other outlets each took home a pair of shades from Banana Republic’s swanky new sunglass line, debuting in March 2008.

To launch the Arthur Erickson-designed Residences at The Ritz-Carlton, Vancouver with a bang, a very special guest was required – enter Diana Krall.
